Job summary

The Tengah General and Community Hospital, part of the National University Health System, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across designated programmes and care areas. The role ensures clinical governance, nursing standards, and patient care outcomes in a evolving hospital campus.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Leadership, Public Health or equivalent preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Advanced Diploma in Nursing.
Registered as a State Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board.
Minimum 15 years of post-registration clinical nursing experience, and at least 8 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading multiple clinical units, programmes or nursing services.
Experience in service development, workforce planning, organisational change and healthcare transformation.
Experience in hospital commissioning, operational readiness, service activation or major organisational projects will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership across designated clinical programmes and care areas.
Accountable for clinical governance, professional nursing standards, and patient outcomes.
Drive care model transformation, service development and workforce capability building.
Foster interdisciplinary partnerships to advance nursing excellence and organisational performance.
Lead organisational planning as a member of the Nursing Leadership Team.
