Job summary
Right Recruit Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support new tooling projects from design approval through production release for medical device and automotive applications. You will review mould designs, validate tooling, and ensure readiness for production.
The role involves coordinating tooling trials, supplier evaluations, and ensuring documentation transfer to manufacturing teams, with a focus on quality and cycle time targets.
Qualifications
- Degree, Diploma, or recognised apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Min 5 years' experience in injection moulding tooling, toolmaking, or tooling engineering.
- Experience supporting NPI, tooling validation, or industrialisation projects.
- Strong understanding of injection mould design and tooling manufacture.
- Experience working with external tooling suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Support successful introduction of new tooling projects from concept through production launch.
- Provide technical expertise in mould design reviews, tooling validation, qualification activities, and production readiness.
- Coordinate tooling supplier selection, technical evaluations, and quotation reviews.
- Monitor tooling build progress and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate tooling trials, validation activities, and production readiness reviews.
- Support mould acceptance activities including T0, T1, T2, FAT, SAT, and final buy-off.
- Ensure tooling documentation is complete and transferred to production teams.
