Job summary

Kepler Search seeks an experienced NGL trading professional to identify and capitalize on opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region. You will build and maintain relationships with producers, refiners, distributors, and market participants to gain commercial insights and drive growth.

• Significant experience in physical commodity markets (NGLs/LPG/petrochemicals) preferred.
• Strong APAC network and regional market insights.
• Proven track record originating and executing opportunities in APAC.
• Solid understanding of physical trading, contracts, logistics, and risks.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven, resilient in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with data, technology, and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess trading opportunities across the NGL value chain.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, refiners, distributors, end-users, and market participants to gain commercial insights.
• Monitor market fundamentals, supply-demand developments, logistics constraints, pricing trends, and regulatory changes affecting NGL markets.
• Generate and evaluate physical trading strategies that enhance commercial value and support the company's regional growth objectives.
• Provide timely market intelligence, analysis, and recommendations to support trading and business development activities.
• Build robust commercial evaluations and investment cases for new products, markets, or trading initiatives.
• Support the launch of new trading activities by coordinating approvals, contractual structures, licensing requirements, and operational readiness.
• Partner closely with trading, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure successful execution of commercial opportunities.
• Contribute to the expansion of the NGL franchise by identifying emerging market trends and developing innovative commercial solutions.

• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, refiners, distributors, end-users, and market participants to gain commercial insights and uncover new opportunities.
• Monitor market fundamentals, supply-demand developments, logistics constraints, pricing trends, and regulatory changes affecting NGL markets.
• Generate and evaluate physical trading strategies that enhance commercial value and support the company's regional growth objectives.
• Provide timely market intelligence, analysis, and recommendations to support trading and business development activities.
• Build robust commercial evaluations and investment cases for new products, markets, or trading initiatives.

Requirements & Experience

• Significant experience within physical commodity markets, preferably related to NGLs, LPG, petrochemicals, refined products, or adjacent energy sectors.
• Strong network of industry contacts across the Asia Pacific region and a solid understanding of regional market dynamics.
• Demonstrated track record in originating, developing, and executing commercial or trading opportunities within APAC markets.
• Sound understanding of physical commodity trading, contracts, logistics, supply chains, and associated commercial risks.
• Ability to assess market opportunities, perform commercial analysis, and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience to operate in a fast-paced and evolving trading environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with commercial judgment and attention to detail.
• Comfortable leveraging data, technology, and approved AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.
