Operations Specialist (New Business Processing & Insurance Ops) — Private Wealth
12-month contract · Singapore

About the opportunity

An excellent opportunity to join a global life insurance carrier and one of the pioneers of the international high-net-worth market. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join their fast-paced Operations team in Singapore.

In this role you'll deliver an exceptional broker experience by onboarding high-net-worth clients through case setup and new business processing. You'll work closely with the Partner Support team to ensure new business cases move smoothly, accurately and quickly. Where needed, you'll propose and execute bespoke solutions that meet client needs while staying within the company's risk and compliance framework.

This is a demanding position working with colleagues and brokers across the globe. Staying calm under pressure and thriving in a diverse team will be key to success.

Key responsibilities

Case setup and new business processing

• Reviewing emails and broker memos for understanding and action
• Data input across various systems
• Indexing documents and preparing cases for underwriting review
• Assessing new business requirements to confirm cases are in good order

Client due diligence

• Performing name screening and discounting in line with AML/CFT guidelines and procedures
• Escalating to and working alongside line 1.5 Operational Compliance and line 2 Compliance

What we're looking for

• 3 years of hands‑on experience in life insurance operations — high-net-worth market experience is ideal, but candidates from the mass market with a strong new business background will be considered
• Fluency in Mandarin and English
• Solid AML and KYC knowledge
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry designation (LOMA or similar)
• Meticulous attention to detail and accurate data input
• Strong time management and the ability to shift priorities at short notice
• Comfortable communicating with internal stakeholders, brokers and clients across different cultures
