NEX CORPORATEIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures supporting our Singapore operations.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and performance across the enterprise environment. The candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in network systems administration, familiarity with Cisco/Juniper equipment, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Networks or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of professional network administration/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP/OSPF.
• Experience with Cisco or Juniper equipment.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs and network security.
• Familiarity with Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
• Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid infra.
• Certs CCNA/CCNP/Network+ are desirable.

About the role

NEX CORPORATEIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in the Bishan Central Region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure and systems that support our organisation's operations. As a Network Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance across our enterprise environment, directly contributing to the company's operational efficiency and business continuity objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement network architectures and systems infrastructure tailored to organisational requirements and scalability needs

• Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices

• Monitor network performance and health using industry-standard tools and analytics platforms

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues and system failures in a timely manner

• Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system security and stability

• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation and standard operating procedures

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with existing infrastructure

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls

• Provide technical support and guidance to end users and other IT staff members

• Plan capacity and manage network resources to support organisational growth

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networks, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in network systems administration or network engineering

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)

• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise-grade networking equipment

• Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and network security technologies

• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds

• Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure management

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Experience with network design tools and documentation practices
