• 8+ years of professional software development experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development.
• Strong MVVM and Clean Architecture understanding.
• Familiarity with platform APIs on Android and iOS.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful services.
• Proficient in unit/integration/UI testing.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI targeting Android, iOS.
• Architect scalable, maintainable solutions following MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Implement native platform integrations and custom renderers/handlers where platform-specific behaviour is required.
• Proficiency with platform-specific APIs on Android (Java/Kotlin interop) and iOS (Swift/Obj-C interop).
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into responsive user interfaces.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with robust error handling.
• Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests using xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest along with Appium or similar frameworks.
• Optimise application performance including startup time, memory usage, rendering, and battery consumption.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with .NET MAUI releases, Xamarin migration paths, and the broader .NET ecosystem.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of mobile applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in .NET and Maui to join our cross-platform mobile development team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance applications that run seamlessly on Android, iOS, from a single shared codebase. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver polished, production-grade experiences to our users.

As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and champion engineering best practices across the organization.

Your core competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Passion for learning new technologies and expanding technical expertise into cross-platform mobile development.
• Proficiency with platform-specific APIs on Android (Java/Kotlin interop) and iOS (Swift/Obj-C interop).
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful.
• Solid knowledge of dependency injection, asynchronous programming (async/await), and reactive patterns.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, pull request culture, and branch strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based).
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning skills across multiple target platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
