Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our cross-party mobile team. You will design, develop, and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI for Android, iOS, and Windows.

You will work with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, production‑ready solutions while mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering best practices. Strong MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with strong .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing cross-platform mobile apps with .NET MAUI (Xamarin.Forms is a plus).
• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of native Android/iOS interoperability and integration.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and UI testing tools.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (.NET MAUI) to join our cross-platform mobile development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile applications that run seamlessly across Android, iOS, and Windows from a single codebase. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions while driving engineering best practices and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI for Android, iOS, and Windows.
• Build scalable and maintainable solutions following MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Develop native platform integrations and custom renderers/handlers where platform-specific functionality is required.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to transform wireframes into responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with robust error handling.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests using xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest, with UI automation using Appium or similar frameworks.
• Optimize application performance, including startup time, memory usage, rendering, and battery consumption.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay up to date with the latest .NET, .NET MAUI, and Xamarin migration best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of mobile applications.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI (Xamarin.Forms experience is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID design principles.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Solid knowledge of native Android (Java/Kotlin interoperability) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C interoperability) integrations.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, and UI testing using Appium or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile development teams.
