Job summary

Leica Microsystems, part of Danaher, SEA Commercial Team in Singapore, seeks an Applications Specialist – Microscopy to translate customer needs into practical microscopy solutions. You will design, demonstrate, implement, and optimize workflows across pre-sales and post-sales stages, collaborating with sales, service, and product teams.

With a tertiary life sciences/engineering background and 5+ years in similar roles, you will guide demonstrations, training, and technical evaluations while

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Microscopy, Imaging, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an application specialist or similar customer-facing microscopy role.
• Strong understanding of microscopy workflows, imaging techniques, sample preparation, image acquisition, and analysis.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and conduct product demonstrations/workshops.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer scientific, technical, and workflow requirements across pre-sales and post-sales processes.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to evaluate requirements, feasibility, and workflows.
• Recommend microscopy products, configurations, and integrated solutions.
• Prepare specifications translating requirements into practical technical approaches.
• Plan and deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, and training sessions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers and partners.
• Capture feedback and market insights to support continuous improvement.
