Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer for our Singapore site. You will lead maintenance, utilities, security, contractor management, and controlled environments to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.

You will support QMS activities, audits, CAPA, validation, risk assessments, and upgrades while collaborating with EHS & Facilities teams. On-site role reporting to the APJ leader.

Qualifications

• Degree in Facilities Management or Engineering with relevant FM experience.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices, life sciences, pharma, semiconductor).
• Knowledge of FM systems and infrastructure incl. BMS, ACMV, electrical distribution, fire systems, card access, utilities management.
• Experience supporting audits, CAPA, change control, validation/qualification, risk assessments.
• Familiarity with Singapore regulatory requirements (BCA, PUB, NEA, SCDF, MOM, SPF).

Responsibilities

• Lead Facilities Management operations including maintenance, utilities, security, contractor management, and controlled environments.
• Support QMS activities including change control, CAPA, deviations, risk assessments, validation documentation, and audit readiness.
• Monitor and maintain facilities infrastructure such as ACMV systems, cleanrooms, electrical distribution, fire protection, BMS, CCTV and power systems.
• Support facilities projects, upgrades, relocations, shutdowns, and continuous improvement through coordination and stakeholder communication.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive energy efficiency, sustainability, maintenance effectiveness, contractor performance, and reliability.

Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and continuously improving Facilities Management operations for the Singapore manufacturing site, ensuring reliable infrastructure, regulatory compliance, business continuity, sustainability, and operational excellence. This role supports Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs, and facilities-related compliance requirements.

This position reports to the Head of EHS & Facilities (APJ) and is part of the EHS & Facilities team located in 15 Tukang Innovation Drive, Singapore 618299 and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Lead Facilities Management operations including maintenance, utilities, security, contractor management, and controlled environments to support business continuity and operational excellence.
• Support facilities-related Quality Management System (QMS) activities including change control, CAPA, deviations, risk assessments, validation documentation, qualification activities, and audit readiness
• Monitor and maintain facilities infrastructure including ACMV systems, cleanrooms, compressed air systems, electrical distribution, fire protection systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, card access systems, and emergency power systems.
• Support facilities projects, infrastructure upgrades, equipment relocations, shutdown planning, and continuous improvement initiatives through effective coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Monitor facilities performance metrics and support initiatives related to energy efficiency, sustainability, maintenance effectiveness, contractor performance, and operational reliability

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline with relevant Facilities Management experience.
• Experience supporting Facilities operations within a regulated manufacturing environment such as Medical Devices, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductor, Precision Engineering, or Electronics Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Facilities Management systems and infrastructure including BMS, ACMV systems, electrical distribution, fire protection systems, card access systems, and utilities management
• Experience supporting audits, CAPA investigations, change control processes, validation, qualification, and risk assessment activities
• Familiarity with Singapore regulatory requirements and authorities including BCA, PUB, NEA, SCDF, MOM, and SPF.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

• Certification as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF
