Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore seeks a Trade Control Specialist to support the Business in trade validation, booking, and stakeholder liaison. You will drive process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to UAT and projects.

The role is 100% on-site at Tampines, with weekend/public holiday availability when required. A degree and knowledge of Treasury products are preferred, with strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder with good knowledge of Treasury products (e.g. Structured Products, Commodities)
  • Experience in Front to Back Trade operations, especially validation activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support the Business in trade control activities
  • Ensure trades are validated and booked correctly; liaise with Business/clients for discrepancies
  • Manage queries and escalations promptly
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive process improvement and system automation; participate in projects and UAT
  • Ensure compliance with operational risk and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to team growth through training, coaching, and teamwork

About the job
  • Your main responsibility is to support the Business in trade control activities
  • Ensure all trades are validated and booked correctly, liaise with the Business or clients for any discrepancies timely.
  • Ensure queries and escalations are managed in a timely manner
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drives process improvement and system automation.
  • Drive new ways of working and behaviour across organisation to deliver faster, better, cost-efficient customer (internal and external service)
  • Participate / Support in projects, business-driven initiatives and UAT
  • Ensure compliance to Department and Bank’s operational risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous participation to “Growing the Team”: formalisation of team procedure, training, coaching colleagues, brainstorm ideas for any occasions, creating a fun environment among others)
Skills and experience required
  • Degree holder preferred
  • Good knowledge of Treasury products (e.g. Structured Products, Commodities) preferred
  • Good understanding of Front to Back Trade operational processes especially Trade validation activities is an advantage
  • Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good time management
  • Innovative mindset and constantly on the lookout to improve efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Side Note

Able to work on weekends and Public holidays when required. This is a 100% Work -in- Office role, based at Tampines.
