Job summary

OCBC is recruiting for Markets Operations – Confirmations Analyst in Singapore. The role ensures trades are confirmed with counterparties and supports post-settlement processes within a fast-paced environment.

You will investigate discrepancies, draft confirmations, manage queries, and build strong stakeholder relationships while driving efficiency through automation and process improvements. Weekend work and on-site requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Degree holder preferred.
• Knowledge of treasury products (commodities, securities lending, FICC) preferred.
• Understanding of Front-to-Back trade operational processes; post settlements experience an advantage.
• Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and accountability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure trades executed by our Business Units are confirmed and agreed with counterparties/clients.
• Investigate discrepancies and liaise with stakeholders and clients timely.
• Draft confirmations (long-form) or swift where required.
• Manage all queries and escalations in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement and system automation.
• Drive new ways of working to deliver faster, better, cost-efficient service.
• Participate in projects, business initiatives and UAT.
• Ensure compliance with departmental and bank operational risk and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to growing the team by formalising procedures and coaching colleagues.

About The Department

Markets Operations spans across 10 countries and the department plays a critical role in supporting our business stakeholders to execute and support the Global Businesses’ operational activities including pre and post settlements, trade control and documentation. Markets Operations Singapore is both the Headquarters and the Centre of Excellence, centralizing majority of the operational activities for selected APAC branches and subsidiaries. Markets Operations is embarking on a global transformation journey, providing a suite of operational support services to our business units while focusing on cost efficiency through process re‑engineering, automation and straight through processing.

About The Job

• Your main responsibility is to ensure that the trades (treasury products) executed by our Business Units are duly confirmed and agreed with our counterparties/clients.
• Investigate discrepancies and alleges till resolution and liaise with internal/external stakeholders and clients timely.
• Draft confirmations (long‑form) or swift where required
• Ensure all queries and escalations are managed in a timely manner
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
• Drives process improvement and system automation.
• Drive new ways of working and behaviour across organisation to deliver faster, better, cost‑efficient customer (internal and external service)
• Participate / Support in projects, business‑driven initiatives and UAT
• Ensure compliance to Department and Bank’s operational risk and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous participation to “Growing the Team”: formalisation of team procedure, training, coaching colleagues, brainstorm ideas for any occasions, creating a fun environment among others)

Skills And Experience Required

• Degree holder preferred
• Good knowledge of Treasury products (e.g. Commodities, Securities Lending, FICC products) preferred
• Good understanding of Front to Back Trade operational processes. Experience in Post settlements activities of any treasury products is an advantage
• Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and accountability
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with good time management
• Innovative mindset and constantly on the lookout to improve efficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Able to work on weekends and Public holidays when required
• This is a 100% Work -in- Office role, based at Tampines
