Job summary

Silicon Box Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an MES Engineer to lead development, deployment, and maintenance of MES solutions supporting manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, IT, and Quality to improve production efficiency, traceability, and automation. The role requires 3+ years in MES or related fields, strong programming skills (C#/.NET, ASP.NET, C++, Python), and solid experience with Oracle/MS-SQL databases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in MES, manufacturing IT, software development, automation, or related environment.
• Hands-on MES development, implementation, enhancement, or production support.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (assembly, testing, material handling, shipping).
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, ASP.NET, C++, and/or Python.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and MS-SQL databases with SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain MES applications and related systems.
• Analyze manufacturing requirements and translate into MES solutions.
• Support MES production operations and troubleshoot system issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for MES, database, and integration issues.
• Develop MES functions for tracking, material movement, and production transactions.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between MES, equipment, automation, and ERP/WMS/QMS.
• Support equipment integration and manufacturing communication (SECS/GEM, protocols).
• Develop and maintain data interfaces (EDI, APIs) and system-to-system data exchange.
• Develop database functions using Oracle and MS-SQL; SQL queries, stored procedures, views.
• Develop Windows and web apps using C#/.NET, ASP.NET, C++, Python where needed.
• Participate in Smart Factory, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Conduct testing, reviews, and production validation; maintain documentation.
