Job summary

Symrise AG is seeking an Assistant MES Engineer to support MES operations across APAC from its Singapore hub. The role focuses on design, implementation and digitalisation of Manufacturing Execution Systems, ensuring GMP compliance and high equipment reliability.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive regional MES rollouts. The ideal candidate has a technical Diploma, a keen interest in Industry 4.0, and experience with MES/ERP systems, Power BI or similar BI tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in a technical discipline with a strong interest in manufacturing digitalization.
• Solid understanding of data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy).
• Familiarity with MES/ERP systems and industrial automation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support, monitoring and maintenance for MES applications and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot MES, system, machine and automation issues with IT, Maintenance and external vendors.
• Generate reports and extract MES data to support operational decisions and performance monitoring.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using BI tools to improve manufacturing visibility.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve automation reliability and efficiency.
• Support production teams in MES usage and provide training as needed.
• Participate in system upgrades, validation, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide remote support for regional sites across APAC (China & India) and extend reporting and dashboards to those sites.
• Develop URS, support testing/validation, and create training materials; lead user training and change management.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
