Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Core MES Support specialist in Singapore to monitor and maintain MES applications and production equipment. You will troubleshoot MES, generate reports, and develop dashboards to improve manufacturing visibility.

The role spans regional APAC support and MES development/continuous improvement, with training and collaboration across IT, maintenance, and operations. Opportunities exist across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automation, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong interest in manufacturing digitalization, automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP systems or industrial automation systems will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or MicroStrategy will be advantageous.
• Experience with SQL, database queries or reporting tools will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of GMP-regulated environments will be beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support, monitoring and maintenance for MES applications and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot MES, system, machine and automation issues in collaboration with IT, Maintenance and external vendors.
• Generate reports and extract MES data to support operational decision-making and performance monitoring.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools to improve manufacturing performance visibility.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain and enhance production automation and system reliability.
• Support production teams in MES usage and adoption including training for new and existing users.
• Participate in system upgrades, validation, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide remote support and monitoring for MES systems and related equipment across regional sites.
• Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with local stakeholders, IT teams and vendors.
• Extend reporting, dashboarding and performance tracking to regional sites.
• Recommend and support automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support deployment of new MES functionalities and digital initiatives across the region.
• Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS) (for MES development).
• Supporting functional testing, UAT, implementation and system rollouts.
• Creating and maintaining Work Instructions, user guides and training materials.
• Leading user training and change management activities.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
