Job summary

World Farm Company (PRIVATE) LIMITED invites a hands-on Merchandising & Procurement Executive to shape sourcing, pricing, display, and selling strategies for our Singapore garden centre. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate shelf pricing and minimise out-of-stock across outlets
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms and margins
• Monitor warehouse inventory and stock rebalancing between outlets
• Analyse stock and promotion performance to sharpen assortment and promos
• Collaborate with marketing and customer service on online-to-offline campaigns

As we grow our retail footprint and product range, we're looking fora hands-on Merchandising & Procurement Executive to shape how our products are sourced, priced, displayed, and sold — directly driving revenue and the in-store experience our customers love.

The Role

You’ll own the full merchandising and procurement loop for our non-perishable and plant-adjacent product range, ensuring the right stock is in the right place, at the right price, at the right time to maximise revenue and profit. This is a role for someone who is equal parts commercially sharp, detail-obsessed, and creative with visual display.

What You’ll Do

Merchandising & In-Store Experience

• Design and execute visual merchandising displays that showcase our plant range and non-perishable products as one cohesive story, boosting average transaction value
• Ensure prompt set-up of promotional displays, POS materials, and pricing signage in the right place and right promo window
• Ensure every product on the shelf is correctly priced with minimal out-of-stock (OOS)issues across outlets
• Implement FIFO stock rotation, monitoring near-expiry stock regularly to minimise trade returns and wastage

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Manage and grow supplier relationships, negotiating terms, conditions, and margins to create a competitive edge
• Work closely with outlets and suppliers on replenishment activities, product range decisions, and promotion mechanics
• Assist in the end-to-end control, management, and procurement of non-perishable products

Inventory & Performance

• Monitor and manage warehouse inventory, including stock rebalancing between outlets and managing cost and turnover
• Analyse stock and promotion performance to assess product assortment effectiveness and sharpen promotional strategy
• Provide regular, structured feedback to Management on sales performance, in-store/display issues, and competitor activity

Cross-Functional & Ad-Hoc

• Partner with marketing and customer service teams on integrated online-to-offline campaigns that drive revenue and manage stock flow
• Take on other relevant ad-hoc duties as the business needs

What You’ll Bring

• Prior experience in retail merchandising, sourcing/purchasing, and price-setting
• Solid grasp of margins and cost structures, and the judgment to balance profitability with competitiveness
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with genuine customer awareness and higher EQ
• Organised, methodical, and comfortable owning outcomes independently as well as in a team
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with an ERP/SAP system is necessary
• Minimum Diploma in any field
• This role will be liaising directly with our main suppliers in China, and to continue enhancing exiting rapport and further establish long term relationships for the best outcomes
• A flair for trendspotting, with the business acumen and initiative to spot opportunities early
• A genuine interest in plants and gardening is a strong plus
