An experienced Senior MEP Manager is needed to lead the mechanical, electrical and public health delivery of complex, high specification projects in Singapore. This is a senior leadership position carrying responsibility for MEP strategy, design coordination, construction delivery, commissioning and handover, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams. It will suit an MEP professional with a strong background in mission critical environments, data centres or other technically complex projects.
What you will be doing
- Providing overall leadership and management of MEP activities across assigned projects.
- Developing and implementing MEP delivery strategies aligned to project requirements, programme and commercial objectives.
- Leading the coordination and integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and associated building services systems.
- Managing MEP design development, technical submissions, design reviews and coordination with consultants and specialist subcontractors.
- Overseeing installation, testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
- Managing and monitoring MEP subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
- Identifying and resolving technical, design and construction issues early, and keeping MEP activities aligned to key project milestones.
- Supporting procurement and commercial teams with technical input, subcontractor assessments and package strategy.
- Ensuring compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, relevant codes and standards, and driving a strong culture of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Managing technical documentation, as built information, operation and maintenance requirements and final handover.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to MEP engineers, managers and project teams.
What we are looking for
- Extensive experience in MEP management within large scale construction projects.
- A strong track record managing complex mechanical and electrical services packages from design through to commissioning and handover.
- Experience within data centres, mission critical facilities, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, industrial or similarly high specification environments, which is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of MEP design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Demonstrable experience managing MEP subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project controls and programme management.
- Excellent technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills, with the leadership to hold a team together in a demanding project environment.
- Experience in Singapore or the wider Asia Pacific construction market would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation or chartered status is advantageous.
- Extensive relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
