Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking an Associate Laboratory Technologist (Healthcare) to support specimen handling, data entry in the lab information system, and routine analyses. You will sort samples, coordinate with benches, and assist with send-out tests while ensuring safety and compliance with established protocols.

The role requires a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science, preferably with clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science or related subject.
Preferably with relevant clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

Receive laboratory specimens through the Pneumatic Tube system and over the counter, reject unsuitable samples.
Operate the Laboratory Information System for order entry, sample receipt, results query and entry.
Sort specimens, dispatch to benches, and perform basic processing.
Manage specimen movement for in-house and send-out tests, ensuring proper packing per test catalogue.
Respond to customer enquiries at reception and escalate as needed.
Perform basic rapid testing and follow lab protocols.
Alert staff on critical values and maintain instrument maintenance.
Order supplies and notify when re-stocking is required.
Report adverse incidents to senior staff and perform shift duties as required.
Keep up-to-date with new instrumentation and procedures via training and workshops.
Comply with safety and accreditation standards as in LAB safety manual.
