Job summary

National University Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Laboratory Medicine on a contract basis. You will perform diagnostic procedures and related activities to provide quality lab services to internal and external customers.

Key tasks include receiving specimens, operating the LIS, sorting samples, basic processing of body fluids, and handling instrument maintenance. This role requires good teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC in a clinical laboratory related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
• Good laboratory practices and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive laboratory specimens through Pneumatic Tube system.
• Receive specimens and reject unsuitable ones.
• Operate LIS for order entry, receipt and result query as required.
