Comaea Consulting is looking for a Service Engineer based in Singapore to provide onsite and offsite service and support for marine capital equipment. The role involves working closely with customers to resolve operational issues and requires extensive travel within the Southeast Asia region.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Marine Engineering and at least 3 years of field experience in the marine or offshore industry, with a competitive remuneration package offered.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of technical experience in the marine, shipping, or offshore industry.
• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background.
• Experience working with engines, gearboxes, or propulsion systems advantageous.

Our client is a global manufacturing company, a market leader inmaritime sector manufacturing marine capital equipment. To grow theorganization and strengthen its engineering team in APAC region our clientwants to recruit a:

Service Engineer ( Based in Singapore)

ORGANISATION: You will be reporting to the General Manager in Singapore andbe in charge of providing both onsite (shipyards) and offsite service andsupport to customers to resolve any operational issues on the company installedequipment in the Southeast Asia region. This is a hands-on role requiring you to work onsite. In addition, you are responsible for customerrelationship management and pre-sales activity in the region.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installation, commissioning, validation, and maintenance of capitalequipment onsite (shipyards) and at the company workshop.
  
• Serve as a customer-facingtechnical engineer.Work incollaboration with technicians and clients.
  
• Building relationships with existing customers and developingrelationship with new customers in the region.
  
• Create and maintain installation data, service information, andrepair log in the company enterprise database.
  
• Make sure that the company toolsand equipment’s are clean and easily available to use.
  

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

• A mechanicalengineer, mechatronic engineer or marine engineer by qualification.
  
• You have over 3years of technical (field) experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioningwork in marine or shipping or offshore industry.
  
• You have strongexperience in mechanical or electrical engineering in your previous roles.
  
• Experience working on machinery or equipment like engines,gearboxes, or propulsion systems will be an added advantage.
  
• You are a keenlearner and are able to analyse complex situations.
  
• You are open totravel more than 60% internationally to fix the customersissues.
