Job summary

SUPCON is seeking a hands-on engineer at the intersection of hardware and software to design, source, and build experimental production lines. You will program IA2-enabled systems, not classic PLCs, and ensure lines are both functional and demonstrative of IA2 capabilities.

You will own the end-to-end process, from equipment selection and BOM creation to procurement, assembly, wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting, delivering tangible, real-world control logic and hardware-software

Qualifications

• Strong mechatronics fundamentals: mechanics, wiring, sensors, actuators, pneumatic/motor selection.
• Foundations in software development and communications debugging — explain hardware issues to software engineers.
• Able to own the loop end-to-end: equipment selection, BOM, procurement, assembly, wiring, commissioning, troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, source, and build small experimental production lines — and program them with IA2 instead of legacy PLCs and automation IDEs.
• Pick lines that are genuinely interesting to run. What they produce isn't the point — what matters is rich transmission, complex control logic, and looking cool enough to fully exercise IA2's features and performance.
• Help us make 'Vibe Coding' a physical industrial line real.
