Job summary

EOS Innovation Singapore is seeking experienced mechanical technicians/AE to support the development, test and manufacture of advanced defence products. These hands‑on roles sit within a growing project team and work closely with mechanical, electronic, electrical and production engineering disciplines.

The work involves rigorous process development and execution to deliver high‑quality prototype and production outcomes in high‑power optics.

Qualifications

• Minimum ITE or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in optical, precision mechanical or electrical assembly.
• Experience in troubleshooting technical issues.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 & 5S is preferred.
• Experience with optical alignment or laser systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts according to designs and process instructions.
• Perform assembly, alignment and testing within ISO Class 1000 cleanroom and controlled laboratory environments
• Record accurate test data and support preparation of test reports and production records.
• Comply with laser safety, ESD and company safety procedures.
• Comply with quality assurance processes and demonstrate a sense of ownership of high‑quality work.
• Responsible & adhere on safe work practices while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain cleanroom discipline and ensure products, tools and equipment meet cleanliness requirements throughout the assembly process.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in laser laboratories and cleanroom environments.
• Coordinate and oversee staff to ensure work complies to internal and regulatory safety requirements.
• Monitoring and implementation of WSH work plan to achieve the intended objectives.
• Coordinate WSH Committee meeting.
• Coordinate and support Safety Officer review meeting
• Ensure all relevant WSH documentations are maintained and updated for retrieval as and when required.
• Promote and drive safety awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture within the organization with Safety Officer.

Job description

EOS Innovation Singapore is seeking experienced mechanical technicians / AE to support the development, test and manufacture of advanced defence products. These hands‑on roles sit within a growing project team and work closely with mechanical, electronic, electrical and production engineering disciplines. The work involves rigorous process development and execution to deliver high-quality prototype and production outcomes in high‑power optics. This position suits technicians who show good discipline, work well in teams and are motivated by optical test, assembly and integration work.

Primary Duties

This hands‑on role supports mechanical development and production at EOS Innovation Singapore. The technician will construct, align, calibrate and control optical systems in laboratory and factory settings, working from engineering designs, procedures and instructions. Successful candidates will follow established processes carefully, apply practical skill and provide reliable results and useful feedback to the engineering team. As the final assembler of complex systems, the Mechanical Technician will also work closely with Quality Assurance to help maintain EOS Innovation Singapore’s commitment to high‑quality products.

He will also serve as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health coordinator to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Fire Safety.
