Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Singapore seeks an Operations specialist to build laser base assemblies and test complex laser assemblies, polish, test, and integrate into final products according to drawings and controlled documents.

Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, optical assembly and test, use of vacuum systems, training others, and maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• GCE O Level or technical certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in recording data and using process control systems.
• Accurate with high attention to detail and complex parts.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

To build laser base assemblies and test complex laser assemblies, polish, optically test, laser test and perform relevant measurements and integrate into final assemblies as required, in accordance with drawings and all other controlled documents.

1. Operations will include, but not limited to:

• Mechanical, electrical, optical assembly and test.
• Use of vacuum systems.
• Hands on experience in laser application assembly, collimation and alignment Test.
• ESD (Electro Static Discharge) control on the assembly with ESD sensitive component.
• Experience in Fiber Optics Termination.
• Bulk and intricate cleaning of parts and assemblies.
• Packing.
• Completion of relevant electronic records.
• Work with the leadership team to improve processing times as required.

2. Carry out training of other employees, according to Company training, work instructions and as per the grading structure.

3. Work within Company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, material control and maintain high levels of workmanship and cleanliness.

4. Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending and implementing preventative and corrective measures, working with engineering to introduce new products.

5. Highly adaptable approach and willing to transition between department to fulfil evolving business needs.

6. Carry out all reasonable requests from the leadership community.

Requirements:

• GCE 'O' Level, Technical Certicate ore equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing industry in Electrical / Electronic.
• Key technical skills include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, able to intepret technical drawing and schematic.
• Discipline and can work under minimum supervision.
• Comply to QMEHS (Quality, Environment Safety and Health) requirement.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with varied and complex work.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Dexterous with small components.
• Able to follow instructions accurately.
• Be competent recording data in spreadsheet or in process control system.
• Comfortable with test equipment, keen to learn new equipment functionality.
• Effectively work within multi-disciplinary teams to a common goal.
• Demonstrates awareness of different ways of work; offers workable solutions and makes suggestions for improvements within their own area of work.
