Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Singapore seeks an operations technician specializing in opto-mechanical assembly and testing to join a fast‑paced manufacturing team.

With at least 2 years hands-on experience in opto-mechanical assembly, you will follow ESD protocols, interpret schematics, align lenses, and work under minimum supervision to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• GCE N Level or technical certificate or above.
• Min 2 years hands-on experience in opto-mechanical assembly.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to handle lens assemblies.
• Disciplined, team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Compliance with QMEHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical, electrical, optical assembly and testing.
• ESD control on assembly with ESD-sensitive components.
• Interpret and apply technical drawings and schematics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement with preventative/corrective actions.
• Be adaptable and support multiple departments as needed.

Main responsibilities:

• Operations will include, but not limited to:
  • Mechanical, electrical, optical assembly and testing.
  • ESD (Electro Static Discharge) control on the assembly with ESD sensitive component.
  • Hands on experience in optical application assembly, alignment and test.
• Work within Company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, material control and maintain high levels of workmanship and cleanliness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending and implementing preventative and corrective measures, working with engineering to introduce new products.
• Highly adaptable approach and willing to transition between department to fulfill evolving business needs.

Requirements:

• GCE 'N' Level, Technical Certicate & above.
• Min 2 years hand on experience in Opto-mechanical assembly.
• Key technical skills include electrical and mechanical troubleshoorting.
• Able to interpret technical drawing and schematic.
• Able to handle lens assembly.
• Discipline, team player and able to work under minimum supervision.
• Comply to QMEHS (Quality, Environment Safety and Health) requirement.
