Job summary

Element Construction Testing (S) PTE. LTD. seeks a mechanical technician to join our growing team. This role offers opportunities to work with a global TIC business and develop technical skills in a busy laboratory environment.

You will interpret requirements, operate advanced testing equipment, keep precise records, set up data capture systems, and analyze results. A hands-on, detail-focused team player with problem-solving ability is ideal.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related; experience in testing laboratory is a plus.
• Hands-on technician with ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Good attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial.

• Interpret internal and client requirements.
• Operate complex mechanical testing equipment.
• Maintain accurate and systematic records.
• Perform duties to fulfil laboratory demands.
• Follow internal procedures, quality and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of internal and client requirements
• Operating complex mechanical testing equipment
• Maintaining accurate and systematic records
• Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
• Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
• Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment
• Report writing, data interpretation and analysis

Requirements

• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or relevant / experience in related (testing laboratory)
• Hands-on job
• Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage
• Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous
• An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
• Self-motivated Technician with the ability to multi-task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
