Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. This role offers a pathway to develop your career within a global TIC business dedicated to testing, inspection and certification.

The technician will operate complex testing equipment, interpret requirements, maintain records, and support data capture and report writing. A diploma in mechanical engineering and hands-on lab experience are preferred, with strong attention to detail and effective

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related / experience in testing laboratory.
• Hands-on technician with strong attention to detail.
• Sound mechanical bias and good problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience in an engineering environment is advantageous; ISO 17025 knowledge beneficial.
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work under pressure in a busy lab.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player attitude.

• Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system

Skills / Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant / experience in related (testing laboratory)
• Hands-on job
• Sound mechanical bias
• Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage
• Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous
• An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
• Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A team player attitude
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
