Job summary

Element Materials Technology invites applications for a Technician, Chemistry at the Tuas Loop site in Singapore. This is a full-time on-site role focused on testing, sample preparation and timely delivery of test reports, with opportunities for career growth.

You will analyze water and field samples, operate and calibrate instruments, prepare reagents, ensure ISO 17025 compliance, and generate accurate reports for clients while coordinating with the team to meet schedules.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to night/day shifts.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Good math skills.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of testing equipment and chemistry lab work.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze water samples and field samples for physical and chemical parameters.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate equipment like Ion Chromatography and TN/TC analyzers.
  • Prepare reagents and standard solutions; ensure standardization of solutions.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests per standard methods.
  • Interpret data and generate test reports for clients with QA checks.
  • Handle and store all chemicals per MSDS guidance.
  • Coordinate with other technicians to follow the planning schedule.
  • Develop and validate methods when required.
  • Participate in proficiency tests and external audits.
  • Support manager to meet annual targets and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and HSE standards.

Overview

Element has an opportunity for Technician for testing, sample preparation and delivery/collection of samples and preparation of test reports.

Location will be Tuas Loop.

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of water samples and field samples for physical and chemical parameters. Operation, maintenance and calibration of equipment like Ion Chromatography, TN and TC analyzer, Flow Injection
  • Analysis and ensure work compliance to ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Prepare the reagents, standard solution and ensure standardization of the solution used in the laboratory.
  • Performance of qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests and analysis as per standard method.
  • Interpret of datas and generating test reports for clients (data entry, quality assurance).
  • Handling and storage all chemicals as per the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
  • Coordinating with the other technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule.
  • Method development and validation when required.
  • Participation in proficiency test and external audit.
  • Willing to assist in other activities from time to time that may be requested by the department manager, to assist in the execution of Element Material Technology annual targets and budget.
  • Ensuring compliance to all Element Material Technology quality and HSE standards.
Skills / Qualifications
  • 2 years experience in similar role.
  • Have the ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to work different working hours (night / day) shifts if required or necessary.
  • Good English communication skills: reading, writing, speaking.
  • Good math skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent / chemistry / consultant laboratory.
