Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related / experience in testing laboratory.
• Hands-on technician with strong attention to detail.
• Sound mechanical bias and good problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience in an engineering environment is advantageous; ISO 17025 knowledge beneficial.
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work under pressure in a busy lab.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of internal and client requirements.
• Operating complex mechanical testing equipment.
• Maintaining accurate and systematic records.
• Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory.
• General duties in line with internal procedures, quality systems and Health & Safety.
• Application of instrumentation and setup of data capture equipment.
• Report writing, data interpretation and analysis.
