Job summary

The Lycra Company Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to drive safety, reliability, and productivity improvements at our chemical plant.

You will verify equipment history, analyze data, and perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems to sustain uptime. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in chemical or petrochemical settings, hands-on experience with fix and rotating equipment, and strong written and verbal communication skills; team players

Qualifications

• O Level; Professional Certificate/NITEC in Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Hands-on experience on fix and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Good team player.
• Possess good written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute and drive continuous improvements in safety, waste elimination, cost, and productivity.
• Engage in reliability engineering analysis to improve uptime through defect elimination and troubleshooting.
• Perform verification, validation and analysis of past equipment history & current data.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment.
• Execute predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance program for mechanical equipment on a timely basis.
• Provide support to the plant operations to improve reliability of equipment.
• Perform non-destructive testing and analysis on mechanical equipment such as Vibration Analysis and Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement.

• Contribute and drive continuous work process improvements in safety, waste elimination, cost improvement and productivity improvement
• Participate in reliability engineering analysis to drive continuous uptime improvement through defect elimination, troubleshooting and conducting detailed failure analysis.
• Perform verification, validation and analysis of past equipment history & current data.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment.
