Our Client is a renowned organization in the Chemical industry with a strong presence worldwide. They are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer as part of their expansion plans in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Department
THE ROLE
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for:
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize production downtime.
- Lead or participate in risk assessments, hazard studies, and process safety reviews to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance, reliability data, and maintenance history to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage and maintain equipment records, technical documentation, datasheets, and engineering databases, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality work execution, compliance, and proper project documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned engineering projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget, safety, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment such as chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, power, or related process industries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance, reliability improvement, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Familiarity with plant utilities, rotating and static equipment, as well as SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Proactive, hands‑on, and self‑motivated individual with strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
