Job summary

Unknown is seeking an experienced Mechanical (HVAC) Manager/Engineer to lead HVAC/ACMV projects from planning through installation and handover. You will review designs, calculations, and drawings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and main contractors to ensure seamless integration with other disciplines.

The role requires hands-on site supervision, safety compliance, and vendor management, with a track record of managing teams for project success and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience for Manager role; 3–5 years for Engineer role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; BIM/Revit is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage HVAC/ACMV projects from planning to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute Mechanical (HVAC/ACMV) engineering projects from initial planning and design review through to installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Review and prepare mechanical design calculations, technical specifications, and working drawings to ensure full compliance with project requirements and statutory codes.
• Coordinate seamlessly with clients, consultants, main contractors, and internal project teams to ensure the effective integration of HVAC systems with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Supervise on-site installations, monitor daily work progress, and strictly enforce site safety and quality control standards.
• Oversee equipment and material procurement, evaluate vendor submissions, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Conduct regular site inspections, actively participate in project meetings, and prepare accurate site progress documentation.
• For the Managerial role: Lead, mentor, and direct a team of engineers and supervisors, taking ownership of the overall project schedule, resource allocation, and operational performance.

Key Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC/ACMV building services for the Engineer role; 8+ years of experience with a proven track record in project leadership for the Manager role.
• Strong working knowledge of local mechanical codes, statutory regulations, and industry safety standards.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD; experience with BIM/Revit is a strong advantage).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands‑on approach to resolving site‑specific technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
