Job summary

LINDE GAS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist with 5+ years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical environments. The role focuses on planning, executing, and monitoring contractor maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating shutdown activities while ensuring compliance with API/ASME standards.

You will review risk assessments, maintain records, participate in RCA, initiate EMOC changes, and support audits to sustain critical plant reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical.
• Experience with mechanical equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves and pumps.
• Familiar with API and ASME standards for mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor contractor maintenance activities (routine and non-routine).
• Troubleshoot issues or provide guidance when problems arise.
• Plan and coordinate shutdown maintenance for mechanical equipment per PM requirements and industry best practices.
• Review risk assessments and maintenance procedures regularly.
• Maintain records for equipment modifications, repairs and rerating activities.
• Identify discrepancies in plant equipment records or field conditions.
• Participate in RCA for process incidents and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Initiate EMOC and execute changes for plant improvements.
• Support audits and ensure timely closure of audit actions.
• Identify bad actors and drive reliability improvements through short- and long-term solutions.
• Review spare parts availability and update BOMs as required.

Job description

Job Description:

• Planning, execution and monitoring of contractor routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Perform troubleshooting or provide guidance where issues arise.
• Planning and coordination of shutdown maintenance activities of mechanical equipment based on local and global PM requirements, vendor recommendations and industry best practices.
• Review risk assessments and maintenance procedures on a regular basis.
• Upkeep maintenance records for equipment modifications, repairs and rerating activities.
• Identify and update discrepancies in plant equipment records or field conditions.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process incidents and process-induced mechanical failures, recommend corrective actions to permanently eliminate them, and follow up on closure of actions.
• Initiate Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) and execute changes for plant improvement and modification works.
• Support external and internal audits and ensure timely closure of audit actions.
• Identify bad actors in the plant and drive reliability improvement through implementation of short-term and long-term solutions.
• Review spare parts availability and initiate Bill of Materials (BOM) updates as required.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry or Diploma holder with 7 years maintenance experience Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry preferred.

• Experience in a Gas Plant such as Gasification/SMR/ASU is an advantage
• Good knowledge on design and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as steam boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, piping, valves, compressors, pumps etc
• Good knowledge of industrial standards such as API, ASME etc for mechanicalequipment
