Job summary

Triton AI Pte Ltd on Jurong Island is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide expert maintenance support for rotating equipment across a chemical manufacturing setting. You will develop short-term maintenance plans, troubleshoot issues and help drive reliability improvements while ensuring safe operations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant plant-based experience, with familiarity in SAP maintenance modules and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of rotating equipment maintenance experience in chemical/ petrochemical/ pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience with plant-based maintenance and operational environments.

• Remuneration Package: Up to $5500 + Fixed Allowances $220

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise to support safe, reliable and continuous plant operations.

• Develop, implement and monitor short-term engineering and maintenance plans to achieve operational objectives.

• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and plant-related issues to minimise downtime and production disruption.

• Support preventive, corrective and reliability-centred maintenance activities across assigned plant areas.

• Analyse equipment performance data and maintenance history to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend practical solutions to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

• Lead or participate in hazard studies, process hazard reviews, risk assessments and incident investigations.

• Identify and implement improvements to equipment design, functionality and overall plant performance.

• Maintain accurate equipment records, technical datasheets, engineering documentation and maintenance history within the SAP system.

• Manage assigned engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, safety requirements and quality standards.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering contractors, suppliers, consultants and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience with exposure in rotating equipment maintenances

• Relevant exposure to equipment maintenance within a plant-based environment, preferably from the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, manufacturing or related industries.

• Comfortable working in an operational manufacturing plant environment, including predominantly outdoor areas.

• Good understanding of plant equipment, utilities systems and maintenance activities.

• Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment reliability, troubleshooting and maintenance practices.

• Familiarity with SAP maintenance systems or maintenance log modules.

• Knowledge and practical application of Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

• Able to manage engineering projects and coordinate effectively with contractors and vendors.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to work with incomplete or evolving information.

• Proactive and improvement-driven, with a strong commitment to plant safety, reliability and operational excellence.
