Job summary

ACEXCELLENT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Chemical MNC to develop, implement, and monitor engineering plans, solve complex problems, and support incident investigations within a collaborative work culture.

You will communicate technical information across site levels, troubleshoot equipment, lead hazard studies, and maintain documentation and safety standards to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Mechanical Engineering background with exposure to maintenance activities in plant-based environments.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and strong drive to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate technical information clearly across all site levels and with external contractors, suppliers, and regulators to support engineering objectives.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Lead and participate in hazard studies, process hazard reviews, and conduct risk assessments to ensure safety compliance.
• Analyze historical data and equipment records to identify improvement opportunities and develop innovative solutions for equipment design and performance.
• Maintain and update the equipment database, including datasheets and technical documentation, to ensure accurate and current records of modifications and upgrades.
• Manage measurable work quality and safety standards for vendors and contractors to uphold site safety and compliance.
• Oversee assigned projects from initiation to completion, monitor progress, and proactively address challenges to meet project goals.

• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, manufacturing, or related industries
• Mechanical Engineering background with exposure to maintenance activities in plant-based environments
• Strong drive, initiative, and proactive problem-solving approach for continuous improvement
