Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to shape the mechanical infrastructure for our data centre developments. You will contribute from concept through commissioning, collaborating with electrical, IT, consultants and suppliers to design scalable cooling for high-density environments.

You will review designs, produce calculations, and ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and energy efficiency targets across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing mechanical systems for data centres or other mission-critical facilities.
• Familiarity with mechanical controls and Building Management System interfaces.
• Ability to work with consultants, contractors and suppliers across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical designs for new data centres, expansions and upgrades.
• Produce and assess cooling calculations, equipment specifications, schematics, layouts and design documentation.
• Evaluate cooling systems, including chillers, pumps, heat exchangers and air-handling equipment.
• Support integration of liquid cooling and interfaces between facility systems and IT equipment.
• Assess capacity, redundancy, maintainability and system performance under various conditions.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural and controls teams.
• Review consultant designs, supplier proposals and contractor submissions; resolve queries.
• Support site assessments, installation reviews and commissioning to verify designs.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy and water efficiency and standardise designs across projects.
