Job summary

Bayes Recruitment Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to design the mechanical systems for data centres, including cooling, chilled water, pipework, pumps and chillers, and to perform heat load and hydraulic calculations.

You will prepare tender documents, evaluate contractor bids, witness commissioning, coordinate with clients, project managers, and other disciplines, and support the Project Director while growing into leading projects.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of project execution processes.
• Advanced knowledge of local code of practice of design implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design the mechanical systems for data centres (cooling, chilled water, pipework, pumps, chillers), including heat load and hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractor and vendor bids, then recommend an award to the client.
• Check site works for quality, and witness testing and commissioning until the system is handed over.
• Work with clients, project managers, contractors, and other disciplines (electrical, architectural, structural, fire) to resolve issues and get approvals.
• Support the Project Director/Manager on delivery, and grow into leading projects and guiding junior engineers.
