Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation in Singapore is seeking a materials planning and procurement specialist to manage planning, forecasting, and inventory control of raw materials for Fab operations. You will coordinate with suppliers, optimize Auto MRP, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on new material qualifications.

Experience in semiconductors and proficiency with ERP/BI tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ERP/BI tools (Oracle, SAP, Power BI) and Python are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, and control inventory of all raw materials for Fab operations.
• Manage planning, forecasting, and inventory of substrates, chemicals, gases, and consumables.
• Support procurement to source materials timely and cost-effectively.
• Maintain and optimize inventory systems via Auto MRP.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve material issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure availability.
• Analyze market data on products, suppliers, and trends for raw materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on material qualification and introductions.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to strengthen resilience.
• Participate in supplier performance assessments and continuous improvement.
• Support Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities.
• Ensure EHSS policy compliance in raw material planning and procurement processes.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the planning, forecasting, inventory control, and procurement support of all raw materials required for Fab operations.
• Manage the planning, forecasting, and inventory control of semiconductor manufacturing materials, including substrates, indirect materials (bulk and specialty gases), chemicals, photoresists, targets, and Fab consumables.
• Support procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective material sourcing.
• Maintain and optimize the inventory management system through Auto MRP.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve non-conforming material issues promptly and effectively.
• Monitor inventory levels closely to minimize waste while ensuring uninterrupted material availability.
• Analyze and provide market intelligence on products, suppliers, and industry trends related to raw materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new material qualification and introduction activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience.
• Participate in supplier performance assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements related to raw material planning and procurement processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle, SAP, Power BI, and Python is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Responsible for complying with and implementing Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable to the role, contributing to a safe and healthy workplace.
