Job Summary
Lead and manage the full investment lifecycle, from screening to execution, to drive strategic growth and portfolio value. Collaborate with stakeholders and external advisers to deliver sound investment decisions and optimize portfolio performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end investment process including screening, evaluation, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and transaction execution to secure profitable investments
- Identify and assess investment opportunities across sectors, markets, and asset classes aligned with the Company’s strategy
- Conduct comprehensive industry, market, commercial, financial, legal, and operational analyses to inform investment decisions
- Develop and review financial models, valuation assessments, and investment return projections to support investment evaluation
- Evaluate investment risks, capital structures, funding needs, and exit strategies to optimize investment outcomes
- Prepare detailed investment proposals, financial analyses, and recommendations for directors and decision-makers
- Lead or coordinate due diligence activities with external advisers and stakeholders to ensure thorough risk assessment
- Negotiate terms with investee companies, shareholders, management, financial institutions, and other parties to secure favorable agreements
- Oversee transaction execution including documentation coordination and engagement with external advisers to ensure timely closure
- Monitor and manage portfolio investments by tracking financial performance, business developments, valuation, and risk exposure
- Prepare regular portfolio and investment performance reports for management and shareholders to inform strategic decisions
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance portfolio investment value and support strategic initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with investment partners, financial institutions, advisers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to foster collaboration
- Participate in investor, partner, and management meetings and respond to investment-related due diligence and information requests
- Conduct ongoing research on industry trends, market developments, emerging opportunities, and risks relevant to the portfolio
- Contribute to the development of the Company’s investment strategy, governance framework, and business development initiatives
- Support establishment and maintenance of investment, risk management, and portfolio monitoring processes to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Perform additional investment, strategic, and management duties as assigned by the Company’s directors
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 6-10 years of professional experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, investment banking, asset management, or related fields
- Previous buy-side investment or transaction experience
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, investment analysis, valuation, financial markets, and transaction structuring
- Advanced quantitative, analytical, and financial modelling skills
- Proven ability to independently evaluate investment opportunities and develop commercially sound recommendations
- Capability to lead and manage due diligence and transaction execution with limited supervision
- Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of investment matters
- High integrity, professionalism, and accountability in all activities
- Commercially minded with strong analytical thinking and entrepreneurial approach
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
