Job summary

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore seeks a professional responsible for ensuring and maintaining a secure port for international vessels. The role involves implementing the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) at Singapore's port facilities, conducting audits, and coordinating with various stakeholders, including security agencies. Ideal candidates will have experience in maritime security planning, strong analytical and leadership skills, and good command of English. This position is a 2-year contract with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Relevant working experience in developing maritime security plans.
• Good understanding of regional political developments.
• Experience in uniformed services and knowledge of Maritime Singapore is an advantage.
• Strong command of English and good writing skills.
• Strong planning and organizing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement the ISPS Code at Singapore port and terminal facilities.
• Conduct compliance and licensing audits.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to enforce security requirements.
• Lead Maritime Security exercises and working groups.
• Act as Point of Contact for Infrastructure Protection Act implementation.
• Collaborate with agencies to reduce sea robbery cases.
