Job summary

COSCO SHIPPING MARINE ENGINEERING (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on professional to manage day-to-day afloat repairs, load testing and inspection services for ships in Singapore and the region.

You will support the Service Manager, handle quotations, and coordinate field operations with ship managers, yards and agents, ensuring timely service delivery. Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Marine Engineering, experience with cranes and deck machinery, and a proven track record onboard.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in marine cranes and deck machinery.
• Experience working onboard.
• Experience coordinating marine service work afloat repairs is an advantage.
• Technically inclined and highly organized; able to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams and customers.
• At least 3 years of experience in the related field.
• Able to commit after office hours due to job nature.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese; able to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and coordination of afloat repairs, load testing & inspection services on ships in Singapore and the region.
• Assist Service Manager in handling field service operations, technically, operationally and commercially.
• Prepare quotations and costing for invoices, tools, equipment lists and procurement of parts.
• Manage and coordinate service job execution.
• Liaise with ship managers, offshore operators, shipyards, agents and others.
• Manage tools & equipment at the warehouse and arrange periodic recertification.
• Coordinate with ship agents, ports & shipyards; handle permits and schedule service attendances.
• Coordinate and arrange transport of engineers, tools & equipment to job sites.
• Provide remote technical support and answer customer queries.
