Job summary

Staffhub Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to coordinate marine maintenance jobs aboard vessels and at shipyards in Singapore. You will ensure the right technicians are assigned, respond promptly to service requests, and liaise with customers throughout execution.

You will work to meet contractual obligations, maintain safety records, and prepare required documentation and invoices after jobs are completed. Relevant SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Experience with maintenance in marine/industrial environments preferred.
• Knowledge of service contracts and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field service jobs on board vessels and at shipyard per maintenance plan.
• Provide timely responses to service requests and discuss execution with the customer.
• Assign personnel with the right skills to each job.
• Coordinate field service work, site visits and support the team.
• Communicate progress and clarify issues with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Arrange alternatives with the customer when rescheduling is needed.
• Ensure timely completion and avoid rework.
• Maintain safety, log incidents, and complete documentation.
• Provide customers with required contractual documents.
• Keep records of activities, timesheets and receipts.
• Review costs and prepare invoices for completed work.
• Handle potential claims related to service work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field service jobs on board vessels and at the shipyard according to the maintenance plan. Ensure that QSHE and our compliance policies are followed.
• Provide timely and accurate response to service requests. Discuss with the customer the plan and execution of the service job.
• Ensure that people with the right skills are assigned to each job
• Coordinate the field service work, make site visits and support the field service team throughout the execution of the work.
• Communicate the progress of the work and any outstanding actions with the customer and other internal stakeholders. Be the primary contact person to the customer and the engineers at site during execution of the work. Provide them with technical and contractual clarifications as needed.
• Takes proactive actions and agree with the customer alternative solutions when the job must be rescheduled, if there is a delay in completing the job or if the location for carrying out the work is changed.
• Ensure we meet our contractual obligations, reach the timely completion of the job and avoid need for rework.
• Ensure that work is done in a safe manner. Use company reporting tools to log accidents, safety lapses and near misses.
• Provide customers with documents that they may request.
• Keep proper records of work activities and contractual documents such as daily status reports, timesheets, purchase orders and receipts. Keep stakeholders informed of any deviations to the order handling process.
• Review and approve costs and prepare invoices for work that have been completed.
• Handle any possible claims related to the service work.

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or in other related disciplines
• Structured and well-planned way of working
• Focused and can-do attitude
• Good co-operation, teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge on operations and maintenance of large machinery
• Understanding of business service contracts
• Good IT skills.
• Good practical knowledge and understanding of Marine Engines and Propulsion Systems
• Hands on experience in the use of SAP
