Job summary

COSCO SHIPPING MARINE ENGINEERING (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on professional to manage day-to-day afloat repairs, load testing and inspection services for ships in Singapore and the region.

You will support the Service Manager, handle quotations, and coordinate field operations with ship managers, yards and agents, ensuring timely service delivery. Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Marine Engineering, experience with cranes and deck machinery, and a proven track record onboard.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in marine cranes and deck machinery.
• Experience working onboard.
• Experience coordinating marine service work afloat repairs is an advantage.
• Technically inclined and highly organized; able to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams and customers.
• At least 3 years of experience in the related field.
• Able to commit after office hours due to job nature.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese; able to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and arrange transport of engineers, tools & equipment to job sites.
• Provide remote technical support and answer customer queries.

• Assist Service Manager in handling the company’s field service operations, in technical, operational and commercial matters
• Prepare quotations, costing for invoice, tools & equipment lists and procurement of parts.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent
• Past experience in marine cranes and deck machinery required
• Past experience in working onboard
• Experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs will be an advantage
• Technically inclined and highly organized, being able to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Effective in dealing with commercial and management aspects of the roleilem
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Excellent communication skills, internally with our field service teams and externally to our customers
• Able to commit even after office hours due to the nature of the job
• Bilingual in English and Chinese, with the ability to converse in Chinese so as to liaise with Chinese speaking client. li>
