Job summary

Public Service Division seeks a Business Development Manager role within CEMS, to shape and execute industry engagement and commercialisation strategies for the maritime sector in Singapore. You will interface with industry partners, research bodies, and government agencies to drive governance, project management, and growth.

The role emphasises building strategic collaborations, translating research into practical applications, and leading initiatives within a fast-paced public sector

Qualifications

• At least 4-8 years of relevant working experience.
• Self-driven, independent, and ready to work as a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
• People-oriented with good interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
• Strong research literacy to critically evaluate evidence and synthesize findings.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive framework for industry development, engagement, and outreach.
• Establish systematic processes for identifying, approaching, and sustaining relationships with maritime industry stakeholders.
• Drive initiatives translating research outcomes into practical industry applications.
• Lead building a robust research ecosystem through strategic partnerships with industry and academia.
• Identify collaborative research opportunities and position CEMS as a convening body for maritime safety research.
• Serve as the primary conduit between CEMS and external stakeholders and funding agencies.
