Job summary

PRESTIGE SHIPPING SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a seasoned maritime leader to command large foreign-going vessels and manage crews across global routes.

The role emphasizes safe navigation, regulatory compliance, and high standards of technical support for navigational and safety equipment. The ideal candidate brings 12+ years at sea with 18 months in command on vessels >3000Gt and 10+ years in shore-based crew management, including recruitment and training, plus strong multilingual communication

Qualifications

  • Master Mariner Certificate of Competency required.
  • Post Secondary Diploma in Nautical Science from a UK-certified Maritime Academy preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of sea service including 18 months in command on foreign-going vessels over 3000Gt.
  • Minimum 10 years of shore-based crew management experience including recruitment and training.

Responsibilities

  • Command foreign-going vessels over 3000Gt with safe navigation and regulatory compliance.
  • Operate and oversee Ship-to-Ship transfers, deep sea piloting, and mooring operations on dry bulk and oil tankers.
  • Manage crew recruitment, interviewing, and in-house training programs to maintain skilled maritime personnel.
  • Deliver technical support by handling supply, repair, and servicing of navigational, safety, and firefighting equipment.
  • Coordinate supply of bunker fuel and stores according to vessel manager and master requirements.
  • Conduct vessel registration processes, P&I cover management, and technical surveys to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform ISO and ISM audits for vessels and office operations to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively in multiple languages to support diverse maritime operations and crew interactions.

Job Summary

Lead maritime operations with expertise in ship command, crew management, and technical support. Apply your extensive sea and shore experience to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient vessel management across global trade routes.

Preferred competencies and qualifications
