Job summary

ARC Marine Engineering PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable marine service engineer to handle inquiries, quotations, and spare parts management while coordinating logistics.

You will conduct vessel visits, inspections, and service attendances, and provide technical support for marine engines, pumps, and auxiliary equipment, traveling to vessels and shipyards as required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in marine service engineering or ship repair.
• Experience with spare parts sourcing and inventory management.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and engineering docs.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel to vessels and shipyards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

About the role

ARC Marine supplies an extensive range of ship store items and spare parts which will cater to all regular and any unique requirement of a ship. This role involves handling customer inquiries for marine spare parts, repairs, and technical services, coordinating logistics and delivery schedules, and providing technical support for marine machinery and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries for marine spare parts, repairs, and technical services
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and technical proposals for spare parts and service jobs
• Source and procure spare parts from approved suppliers and manufacturers
• Coordinate logistics, delivery schedules, and documentation for local and overseas shipments
• Plan and arrange onboard inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities
• Monitor project progress and ensure service jobs are completed within agreed timelines
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for marine machinery and equipment
• Review technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to identify suitable spare parts and repair solutions
• Conduct vessel visits, onboard inspections, and service attendance when required
• Prepare service reports, inspection reports, and maintenance recommendations

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marine service engineering, ship repair, marine equipment maintenance, or spare parts management
• Sound knowledge of marine engines, pumps, compressors, generators, navigation equipment, and auxiliary machinery
• Experience in spare parts sourcing, procurement, and inventory management
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering documentation
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to travel and attend vessels, shipyards, and offshore locations as required
