Job summary

Tian San Shipping Pte Ltd is seeking a Supervisor to oversee crew discipline and ensure smooth operations across harbour vessels. You will coordinate duties, liaise with clients, and attend to their urgent requirements while maintaining records and safety compliance.

The role requires a diploma with relevant experience, outdoor work willingness, and strong planning skills. Proficiency in MS Office and a Class 3 driving license are preferred, with weekend/public holiday work anticipated.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma with relevant experience.
• Preferably harbour ferry boat experience.
• Willing to work on weekends/public holidays.
• Positive working attitude with good planning and organizing skills.
• Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Class 3 driving license preferable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure co-ordination of work amongst the crew and proper assignment of duties.
• Co-ordinate with crews to provide continuity of services to clients in case of vessel breakdown.
• Liaising with clients and attending to their immediate requirements.
• Work in close co-ordination with the client so that mutual co-operation may be achieved in difficult situations.
• Arrange bunkers, lub oil, water and consumables for vessels and log in logs and IT system.
• Keep records of operations and monitor crew overtime incurred daily.
• Submit necessary reports and log sheets to inform Management of progress.
• Attend necessary Safety Meetings and staff meetings at Head Office.
• Inform superior of replacement vessel to prevent disruption of service.
• Liaise with Marine Superintendent on dry docking preventive maintenance.
• Oversee marine transportation service as required.
• Train new crew and manage initial operations and phasing in.
• Conduct spot checks on PPE and ensure compliance.
• Assist another Officer/Supervisor if necessary.
• Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
