Job summary

Axcel Marine Pte Ltd is seeking a Marine Operation Assistant to support project sites in Singapore, including Tuas and Changi. The role covers safe vessel movements, incident handling, and coordination with project managers.

You will work at Central Singapore offices and on-site across Tuas/Changi, with opportunities for growth and a competitive shift allowance. Prior maritime operations exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with maritime management software is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle incidents effectively.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, shift work cycle.
• Possession of a valid Class 3/3A driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day marine operations to ensure safe and efficient vessel movements.
• Assist the Project Site Manager in resolving operational issues and emergencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and service delivery.
• Communicate with the Marine Controller/Project Manager on operational matters and pending issues.
• Follow established SOPs for channel control and vessel movement; maintain accurate log records during watch duty.
• Monitor vessel compliance with designated navigation routes.
• Maintain listening watch on required VHF channels and pilot handset (when required); ensure communication with safety tugs.
• Incident reporting
• Assist with administrative duties as required by Marine Controller/Project Manager.
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
