Job summary

SEATRIUM (SG) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize HVAC systems for marine vessels, offshore platforms, and renewable energy projects.

You will perform load calculations, select equipment, and specify system components, while leading projects from concept to completion. The role requires 3–5 years in mechanical engineering, proficiency with SolidWorks/AutoCAD, MagiCAD, Carrier HAP, and Trane TRACE 700, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• Specialized courses in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer beneficial.
• 3–5 years in mechanical engineering, preferably marine/offshore/renewables.
• Proficiency in CAD software and energy/thermal analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team-oriented with collaborative mindset.
• Flexible to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Proactive in identifying and implementing innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize HVAC designs for marine vessels, offshore platforms, and renewable energy installations.
• Perform heating/cooling load calculations and specify components.
• Lead projects from concept to completion within budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, industry rules, and safety protocols.
• Prepare technical documentation such as design specs and diagrams.
• Stay updated with latest marine and renewables tech and apply innovations.
