Job summary

Direct Search Global in Singapore is seeking a Sales Engineer for Marine Equipment. You will combine technical know-how with commercial acumen to win new business and manage key accounts across shipowners, shipyards and managers.

The role requires translating customer needs into suitable equipment solutions, preparing technical proposals and supporting projects from enquiry through to delivery. Travel to client sites and industry events will be expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in technical sales, marine equipment sales, engineering sales or business development.
• Good understanding of the marine and shipping industry.
• Able to translate customer requirements into suitable equipment solutions.
• Willing to travel for customer visits, vessel visits, shipyards and regional activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow business with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards and marine companies.
• Identify new sales opportunities through market research, networking and events.
• Manage existing customer accounts and build long-term relationships.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations and commercial offers.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, service and operations teams to meet customer needs.
• Monitor projects to ensure delivery per specifications and timelines.
• Provide technical and commercial support during installation and after-sales activities.
