FUJI TRADING (SINGAPORE) PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a seasoned Marine/Mechanical Engineer leader to mentor shore-based and afloat teams. You will oversee design documentation, propulsion and piping layouts, and manage the vessel maintenance framework to minimize downtime.

This role also requires coordination with Classification Societies and regulatory bodies to ensure SOLAS and MARPOL compliance while controlling OPEX and CAPEX budgets.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 8–10+ years in marine, shipbuilding or offshore sectors with at least 3+ years in supervisory or management roles.
• Marketing ability to capture customer requirements and build trust; strong communication with diverse customers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily direction, mentorship, and performance coaching to shore-based and afloat marine engineering teams.
• Manage internal and external design and engineering docs, checking drawings, propulsion blueprints, and piping layouts for quality before production.
• Formulate and manage the annual vessel maintenance framework, scheduling overhauls, emergency repairs, and equipment replacements to minimize downtime.
• Supervise shipyard execution, vendor negotiations, structural modifications, and major retrofits to meet safety, schedule and budget constraints.
• Act as technical contact for Classification Societies (e.g., ABS, Lloyd’s Register), Flag States, and enviro agencies to ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL and local regs.
• Develop and monitor OPEX and CAPEX budgets, seeking cost-efficiencies in engineering.
• Lead investigations into mechanical breakdowns, structural issues or incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction, mentorship, and performance coaching to the shore-based and afloat marine engineering teams.
• Manage internal and external design and engineering documentation, checking technical drawings, propulsion blueprints, and piping layouts for absolute quality before production.
• Formulate and manage the annual vessel maintenance framework, scheduling overhauls, emergency repairs, and equipment replacements to minimize operational downtime.
• Supervise shipyard execution, technical vendor negotiations, structural modifications, and major retrofits, ensuring projects finish safely, on time, and within budget constraints.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for Classification Societies (e.g., ABS, Lloyd's Register), Flag States, and environmental agencies to ensure full alignment with SOLAS, MARPOL, and local regulations.
• Develop and strictly monitor Operating (OPEX)and Capital Expense (CAPEX) budgets, continuously identifying strategies for engineering cost-efficiencies.
• Spearhead technical investigations into mechanical breakdowns, structural issues, or workplace incidents, rolling out immediate corrective and preventive measures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of [8 to 10+] years of experience within the marine, shipbuilding, or offshore sector, featuring at least [3+] years in a formal supervisory or team engineering management capacity.
• Marketing skill to capture customers requirement and trust, also communication skill to deal with all kinds of customers.
