Job summary

Focal Search Pte Ltd is seeking a Workshop Supervisor (Marine Engines) to lead a team of technicians in testing multi-way valves and overseeing associated maintenance and troubleshooting. You will manage testing processes, coordinate with suppliers for spare parts, and report findings to stakeholders.

The role requires a degree or diploma in marine or mechanical engineering and at least five years in marine/offshore sectors with diesel engine expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in marine or mechanical engineering.
• At least five years of experience in marine, offshore, or power generation sectors with diesel engine expertise.
• Experience with two- and four-stroke diesel engines; familiarity with high-speed engines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians in testing multi-way valves and guide the process.
• Oversee inspection and troubleshooting of valves and pumps to identify defects.
• Manage testing processes ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for spare parts and inventory.
• Provide expert recommendations based on test results and supervise servicing.
• Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Collaborate with sales to address client needs and provide technical support.
• Implement QA procedures and drive testing process improvements.
• Provide training and development for staff on best practices.
